Jill Downen’s sculpture transforms the space in which it lives. Working with Jill to develop her website, we grew enamored with her work, and wondered what would she could do if we set her loose in our office. So, we commissioned her to produce an original piece, and filmed her in the process.

The film not only tells an interesting story about how Jill turned one wall of our office into a wall with a five o’clock shadow, but it has also proven to be a valuable tool for Jill to explain how her process works. Jill now uses the film for her lectures to help her audiences understand the work she does in a way that words and still images alone could not.
